HOME ECONOMICS REFLECTION: BURGERS

Positives
Negatives
Next time
  • We came in quietly and calmly and got straight into washing our hands and preparing for the lesson.
  • We made sure we followed the teachers instructions.
  • We used the correct chopping boards and knives
  • Our group communicated well with each other.
  • We followed the correct cooking method.
  • Even though we mucked up a few times we bounced back.
  • We cleaned up well together.
  • we ended up finishing early and got to go first
  • We put the element on high just before adding the pattie in and we left it on high whilst frying them, instead of turning down the element
  • Our patties were to burnt to continue cooking so we had to preheat the oven and leave them in there for 10-15 minutes
  • We fell behind a bit during the lesson but caught  back up.
  • We over over cooked the patties appently
  • We finished first and got let go early
  • Try not to burn the patties??
  • Take a little more care of the ingredients and the other group members.
  • Try harder and keep going even when you muck up!
  • Maybe change the way we communicate with each other and then maybe we would have a more positive outcome.

Presentation wise our burgers  looked fresh and healthy and colorful. The meat tasted alright but i reckon we could have done better if we had payed more attention.

the recipe for the burgers is in the link below

''Chicken and rice patties

How the lesson went: The lesson went pretty good. we fell a little bit behind but we just managed to catch back up with the rest of the class. we finished cooking and got to go home first.

Positives:

  • My group came in and got straight into cooking.
  • We washed our hands before and after handling the food.
  • we worked well together and stayed focused.
  •   we were careful with the knifes and cut the ingredients on the correct chopping board.
  • we cooked well and finished early.
  • we cleaned up fast and were one of the first groups finished.
  • we washed the chopping boards before and after we used them.
Negatives:
  • we didn't follow the correct cooking method.
  • we cut the chicken in chunks instead of strips witch made it harder to shred.
  • we fell behind through out the lesson but we caught back up.
  • we talked through out the lesson
Next time:
  • we will follow the correct cooking method
  • stay focused the whole lesson so this way we wont get distracted.
  • focus on finishing // cooking instead of talking.
